Seneye Slide Problem

I picked up a Seneye monitor last week and just got around to hooking it up yesterday. I carefully installed and registered the slide and it appeared to work for about 10 minutes. After that the app indicates that the slide is expired. I've already reached out to customer support, but they are across the pond and already shut down for the weekend. Any suggestions?

It's been out of the box for 12 hours and I'm about ready to send it back for multiple reasons.

where did you buy it? the slides have a really really horribly short life span. I have been on the fence about picking one up. You should still be able to use it as a par meter while the slide is out of order. also did you soak the slide beforehand? be interesting how CS responds.
