separate heater in HOB fuge?

Hi everybody,

For the past 5 months my tank has been heated with a single heater. I'd like to swap it out for two under-powered heaters so that if one fails on it won't immediately boil the tank and if one fails off then I'll still have the other to slow down the temperature drop.

I will soon have a HOB refugium. Should I put one heater in the fuge, or does it matter?

I would just put them side by side in the sump, or wherever you have your first one. The refugium might not have enough flow going through it to keep the tank warm effectively if one goes out.
