SEPARATE MIXING PUMP AND BARREL FOR MIXING STATION??

I am starting to plan my saltwater mixing station.
I am looking at having 3 barrels

1) RODI water storage
2) saltwater mixing
3) when the saltwater is mixed to the correct salinity, then transfer it into a 3rd barrel which will feed the AWC pump.

I've seen some other people's mixing station where they only have 1 mixing pump.
And you can transfer RODI water from the RODI storage barrel into the saltwater mixing one.
My concern is if you use that same pump to then mix the saltwater, would it then contaminant the RODI water with salt when that pump is then used to recirculate the RODI water within the RODI barrel.
Or do you not need to pump the RODI water around its barrel?

Also would I need to seperate barrel to place the "ready to go" saltwater in for the AWC pump, or would 1 saltwater storage barrel be sufficient?

You do not need to recirculate RODI water.

If you need to pump RODI water (say for filling ATO), then you can easily setup plumbing to 'flush' pump and lines to a small bucket. If you manually fill ATO by drain, then you really shouldn't ever need to pump "TO" the RODI tank contaminating it.

Also as a suggestion...you could arrange so that you fill all tanks from RODI and then swap out which tank is "on service" so you never have to pump to saltwater either. If your AWS is not close to others this may not work as well...but if all side-by-side I would setup as option to fill all and open valves to place on service.

I will look to have it so that both barrels fill from the RO unit.
And have the circulation pump just on the saltwater mixing.
Do many people plumb a pump inline (such as an EcotechL1 pump).

Sure...power head inside tank are popular, too. I'm running an MJ400 on a timer in my saltwater for mixing now.

I don't think I'd use an external pump unless I have to move water a significant distance or height.
