your tank is not very big, what kind of temperature fluctuations are you seeing night to day?

Id look for whatever sources of instability you can find. Temp is a good place to start.

In my experience, SPS will turn brown from lack of light, but they wont die quickly.

My temp range is only .4 all day long. Both these Acros are at 200 PAR. Slowly raising the light. Hope they can bounce back

Since I've taken my biopellets offline my nitrate has risen to nearly 50ppm, I am now beginning to dose vinegar in hopes of controlling nitrate. 3ml a day

For about a week everything was looking better, things were colouring back up...then I increased the white Channel of my LEDs ever so slightly 5% and everything went to **** again

Water is still testing steady! PO4 is still dropping at 0.15ppm now

Can't wait to get my T5s on the tank!

You and I are in the same boat. Once I adjusted my PAR a tiny bit they stated doing this. It's driving me crazy!!

Ehh I wouldn't do that. I have amazing success with everything but Acros but for some reason mine are looking like crap.

It takes a lot to make LPS unhappy like stripped water.
Have to done a Triton water test to check all your levels?

spot feeding helps some LPS. Frogspawn/Acans-feed them pellets and they are happy. Gorgonian feed Larry's reef frenzy-turkey baster Larry's can be used for all if you want. Brains--Larry's Reef Frenzy

So I sold all my LEDs two weeks ago. I bought a brand new ATI 6bulb 60" T5 fixture. Two weeks has gone by and my SPS were on the verge of death... now they are ALL coloring up very nice. I havnt changed anything in my tank other then the lighting.
Also under LEDs I was only able to reach a max PAR of 240 until my LPS started retracting. Under the T5s I have a PAR of 100 on my SPS for 12hrs a day using just the two bulb channel. When the other 4 bulbs come on I get a PAR on my SPS of 400... I started out having the four bulbs on for only 3 hrs. I'm up to 4hrs now. I cannot say it was LEDs or lack of PAR as well but I've been blown away by the results.

This is great news Luke! I'm just waiting to receive my heatsinks for my T5+LED retrofit I literally can't wait to try it! I'm still battling with nitrates though, taking biopellets offline was a terrible idea.. almost a month since I've had them back on and I'm not making much headway
