Serpent Star how to get rid of them

I have noticed I have a lot of serpent stars in my rock how do you get rid of them

I love these little things. Just another miraculous marine life form that you underestimate what it does for your tank.

Sprinkle a little food in there and siphon them out with a hose. May even get some credit at the lfs?

Why would you want to? They do a great job of cleaning your live rock of detritus. I lost all of mine when my tank crashed and I plan on reintroducing them!!!

I've got zillions of these things. I do think I've been feeding too much. But they don't seem to cause any harm. I've been picking them out as I see them in the open just to make a dent in numbers. I wish my harlequin shrimp would eat them.

They are great cleaners won't hurt anything. I think my harlequin eliminated mine. Haven't seen any in a long time

I'm not throwing them away! I'm moving them to another tank to try and seed the population. I do get tired of seeing them in pumps and equipment.
