Why did you say thank you - why on earth would you put a starfish in a freshwater dip ? that can spread to the whole thing. An injury is also possible - care to share the protocol where starfish - which are quite sensitive - should be put in a freshwater dip?Thank you! I had a panic moment there.

I apologize to you - that sounded - quite harsh as compared as to how I wanted it to sound. I would ask your LFS 'why do you recommend a freshwater dip for the starfish - when I'm buying it from you assuming its free of negative 'stuff'.LFS told me to
Thanks for the apology, still relatively new to the hobby so didn't know any better. He was in my tank with ich in it getting moved to a new tank without ich, is the reason behind it. I think we talked to the owner and not the person that actually takes care of the fish.I apologize to you - that sounded - quite harsh as compared as to how I wanted it to sound. My guess is its an injury - and I have no clue how to treat an injury in a starfish. I would seriously question your LFS = perhaps ask for a refund if it dies. Perhaps others have ideas on freshwater dips on starfish
