Very cool starfish!

A buddy of mine moved and I basically inherited all his live stock. The star is originally from liveaquaria and he has had him for 3 years. He’s been with me for a month. Any idea what could be happening?Where did you get the starfish and how long have you had him?
Wow. I didn’t know they could do that! I asked my friend if the star had any history of that, and apparently it’s never done that before. Is it safe to assume he’s happily moved in and thriving?I believe this is a brittle star which will have natural red pigments to it.
