Sorry I guess I don’t quite understand. Are you asking a question about the health of the fish or just posting saying you lost your Naso?

It’s pretty common for the younger naso’s to have those white stars/spots. Especially at night or when stressed (some just have them all the time when young). Is that what you are referring to when you mention ich @homer1475? I’m looking at this pic on my phone so I may not be able to see some of the finer details of the pic.

Exactly what I'm refereeing to.

But I did not know naso's are known to have those white spots when young or sleeping.

I see, so the picture is just showing the fish. The post is about the fish disappearing this morning? Its likely that it’s hiding in the rock work. Nasos take a good while to get comfortable in a new tank. How long has he been in that tank? Could also be due to being sick or bullied or both. It is possible that it jumped out of the tank though, tangs aren’t known as jumpers but it’s possible. Is your tank covered? If not look around and behind the tank. Also look around the power heads. If it died it could have floated up and is stuck to a power head or the overflow. If it did die you could test for nitrates and see if they seem to have gone up or check your skimmer if it seems to be more active than normal or if you have an apex with an ORP probe, your ORP will have gone down from where it normally is as it decays. But hopefully he’s just being shy and hiding. Does he normally come out to feed, you could try throwing in a little food out to draw him out.
