I have this setosa that was accidentally stung by a stylophora and killed a little bit of it. My question is should I snip it off just beyond the dead zone or just let it go and hope for the best. The area that's bleached in the pic is a little larger than the actual points of contact. I guess I'm wondering if it will spread.

You can leave it and monitor for the next couple of days. If the tissue starts dying more, then snip. I wouldn't stress yourself or the coral. Good luck.

Yeah if your tank is healthy it will grow back. I have one like a dinner plate that has seen its fair share of frags falling onto it and it always recovers. And another one that has monti cap growing all tangled up in it, they both recede and grow back continuously.
