i am getting ready to add fish to my cycles tank and realized I have to set the timer and settings on my light controller and realized I have no clue what to set them too the only example I’ve gotten is 2 hours dim, 8 hours bright, 2 hours dim.. but there’s so many different percentages to use , there’s white light, blue light.. I just have no clue what to really set. Im starting with live rock/fish .. noncoral for now. I have the current set up and remote pictured below. Any advice is greatly appreciated

If there’s no coral, just do all white

I used to run my at 100% blue and 48% white.;)

If you plan to eventually keep corals, choose a program now and stick with it - lighting should be weighted towards blue with *some* white. The recommendation made by @jsker (above) seems reasonable. Reason I say this - the coralline algae on your live rock will adapt to your lighting regimen. Any drastic changes later could bleach/kill this algae.

I run a 12 hour lighting cycle at approximately 80/20 blue/white.. I have a 3 hour ramp up and 3 hour ramp down with just LED’s and 6 hours of t5’s/LED’s with 4 hours of peak intensity in the middle of cycle.
