My mom recently aquired an anenome that the LFS did not tell her was a cold water anenome.....so we r on a mission to set up a 10g tank just for him. We got the tank and live sand and took a couple live rocks from our main tank to get it started....we have a filter on the back....but we r told that the water temp needs to be around 58 degrees and that we need a chiller....any thoughts on what kind...size...etc we would need for a 10g tank?
Also we want to get some lighting in the near future.....we were thinking LEDs would be best because they dont emit as much heat...and preferably a clip on since the tank is so small...any ideas how big? How many lights? Wattage...etc?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!:)

For my ten gallon I just grabbed a clip on gooseneck from www.reefbreeders.com and a par38 led from reef radiance. The gooseneck was 24.99 shipped. The par38 was 59 on sale I think they are typically 70 to 90 from the different people who sell them. The one I got is full spectrum and has a remote control dimmer.

Forgot to add it's the dm36e from reef radiance. 12 3 watt leds

4 white
3 blue
2 violet
1 green
1 red
1 orange

Thank you so much for your response! That definitely gives me somewhere to start from!!!:)

Looks awesome!!!!! What a great job you have done! Thanks for the pic! Is your 10g going to be a cold water also?

No it will be plumbed into my main system to get a total water volume of 50 gallons. It's going to be for frags/grow out. I don't want to run a chiller and my tank stays around 80 in the summer time without the heater. No ac here.

Oh ok...well thats a nice lil set up you have there!!!:) i think i need a chiller for this cold water tank...but they are outrageously expensive....so im wondering if maybe fans would do the job so i can try to make it all work without being broke. This was an unexpected expense so i wasnt planning for all this! Yikes...what have i gotten myself in to!!! Haha
