I'm in the process of setting up a 180 gallon tank I picked up recently. I'm trying to decide on what wave maker to put in it. I'm leaning heavily towards the nero 5. Once I start adding corals because I'm new and I have some fish that aren't the most reef safe I plan for it to all be soft corals. Would this pump work. I don't have money for one let alone multiple vortechs.

I have had a 180 in the past but I have not had a Nero5. A 180 is a pretty large tank so my guess would be one alone would not be enough flow for that size system. (Maybe someone that has a Nero5 will chime in with some input) I recently have been using the Icecap 4K gyre pumps and so far for me they have been working very well and the price tag on them is reasonable. I may pick up a Nero 5 for a future build as I do like the size of them. I'm just not sure about how much flow they produce.
