I'm going to be setting up a 220 gallon reef tank Need insight as to. Power heads

Depends on your budget. I personally like mp40 because I don't like to see cords in the tank.

I like the clean look and worth it to me fir their look and performance. But plenty of people have had successful reefs with much cheaper power heads.

I've posted this before on other forums since it seems some times there seems to be a jaebo tunze and vortech debate anytime a powerhead is brought up. If you are a reefer on a budget and want a wave maker that does its job and isn't a insane amount go for a jaebo. If spending $250 to 500 isn't a big deal go for a tunze or a mp. I've read many of threads on comparing all of them and alot of info contradicts others. I've heard the jaebo was loud so I went and bought a mp and it's so much quieter and vise versa. So it comes down to price really a tunze is super quiet and will run for ever the mps have no cord in the tank and people report they notice a big difference with them there life is debatable something have had them last a long time others not so much. The jaebo is a low cost pump that does its job bit haven't been on the market long enough to compare their life span.

Rw series seems nice wide flow also riptides are coming out look nice

Only because of the price. I. Already got a lot invested 1600 in the tank 600 in the stand 1500 in kessil a360ws

Sounds like you are on the right track! You should start a tank thread in the Members Aquarium forum and show off what you have going on so far.

Just a bunch of boxes right now I will start a thread once I have everything I need to fill and start cycling the tank from start to finished with mature corals

All I have right now are is a box of salt some lights and a lot of sand my tank and sand are being made as we speak

I do plan on starting a tank thread once I have everything I need to start filling and cycling the tank
