Ok so here is my main problem, I have a 29g I'm about to be setting up as my fuge tank. Everything is already in place with it and water is already in it. But I'm wanting to know a couple things before I start with the full setup. First question, I'm wanting to do it a bit different then all others I've seen. So does anybody have any tips on setting it up it would be great. First I'm wanting to keep my original overflow from dt to sump going, but add a diy overflow for the fuge alone. But I want to go pumpless in it and add yet another diy overflow in the fuge to drain down to the sump. Now I do have another pump for the fuge if this don't work like I want, but wanted some advice on the way I'm wanting to do it. Main reason in doing it this way is so I have more control over the turnover in my fuge and still have 1300gph going through my sump from the dt. Anybody done it this way? Did it work or fail and flood everything?

So your making a separate fuge? I was considering the same thing to slow the flow of my fuge aswell. I dont see why the same overflow set up couldnt work for the fuge and just route it back to the return section of the sump.

I will post a pic of how I got it all sitting right now, but the fuge is about 6 inches away from the dt and wanting to run a overflow to it then another overflow from the fuge to the sump. But don't want to disturb the overturn of my dt to sump

Planning on starting this tomorrow. Anybody have anymore info on this they would like to share
