I was wondering what all I needed or what you guys recommend for a Refugium in my sump. I have a tsunami 20 gallon sump/Refugium it has a small area for a Refugium but the skimmer I have for the tank this is going to be setup with is an out of sump skimmer so I can basically make that whole area that would be taken up by a skimmer more of a Refugium. Anyways I know I need livesand, some livestock rubble? Different types of macroalgae because I want a thriving pod area and also for nutrient export, I already have a KESSIL Halo 2 LED for macroalgae growth and the mount for it so I'm all set there, what suggestions do you have for a good Refugium? Thanks!

IMO, avoid rubble. it catches detritus. a bare bottom is easy to clean, so a chunk of rock(s) is prob better. A dsb is good but you prob should seed it with worms and have a good CUC in there to eat the detritus. Chato IMO is best but experiment.
