Hello,
I am completely lost on how to set up a way for water to leave/enter my tank. I have scoured YouTube and this forum. There is the option of buying an overflow box ($150) and then a refugium already set up ($300ish) and all you have to do is connect it and turn on the power.
I am pretty handy in terms of DIY. The set up I'm looking for is simple.. Take water out of the display, it enters the refugium, goes through the stages, and then the return pump sends it back to the DT. 75 gallon tank, it has a roughly 1.5" horizontal border around the top of the tank where the glass lid would sit, if I decide to use it. Right now I can't because I have two overhanging filters and an ugly heater poking out of the water.
Anyone want to walk me through, or provide pics & products, on how they were able to DIY accomplish this?
<---- This will be how I take the water out of the display. I've already created one and have the ability to attach it to the back of the tank. The level is stops running is about 1" below the DT's water line.
I don't want to come home from work to a sopping wet mess. I will have to make sure, somehow, that too much water doesn't go into the DT or the refugium and cause it to overflow.
Thank you for all your recommendations. I really want to avoid the "easy way out" of buying everything off of Amazon, and would like to try to set something up myself.
