Anyone have a Webcam setup on their tank? I am interesting in setting up a camera(s) on my tank (maybe a front shot and a side shot).... What app and camera brand work best? I have RING cameras already, not sure about buying more of theirs or using something different. I also have Neptune APEX system which allows you to link your webcam too.... More interested to see how you have them mounted, brand you used, and how hard was it to set up the app or website to view to be able to stream the video of the tank. Anyone have it linked thru Neptune?

Thank you.

Wyze webcams work awesome
20-25 bucks, can view from anywhere via app on your phone or tablet. No integration with Apex though i'm afraid. but for the price and quality you can't beat it :)

Ill look into those... I also just looked at ICEcap Reefcam... These look cool. Pricey, but the camera is inside the tank. :)

following along.

At one time I remember reading a thread where Terrance from Neptune listed a few cameras that worked with Apex.

On the neptune forum I see someone saying this one works with apex fusion:

I would link the forum, but not sure if that is allowed to link another forum?

also this

I thought at one time to add a cam to my apex. But it's a novelty. Now i only use the Wyze in the sump just in case i get an alert from Apex which I rarely do. The wyze app is good enough.

Good idea! Having a visual on a possible problem from an alert.

Yeah, the Foscam is one of the most sold and used. I liked the image on that as well. I heard a lot of issues like it getting hacked etc.
I have one in a box somewhere...

I have a cheap Tenvis that I have used many times on vacation. I work from home anyway and my tank is right behind me, so I just have a camera on it when I leave town. I run it from my phone app and it can pan all directions. I keep my cabinet open so I can view my sump line and just check up on things. I also set up an alarm so I can view my autofeeder working and watch the fish eat...weird, I know! I've viewed my tank while on a cruise ship in the Caribbean! ;Shamefullyembarrased

Thanks for the links, i will check them out. I will also check out Neptune site directly. Although, it may just be easier to find a good camera and use their app to access it. Seems the Wyze webcam pretty popular. The ICEcap i mentioned earlier, i am not even sure they make anymore.

Wyze cam is the way to go.

Edit, the quality is much better than it looks. For some reason the pics posted blurry

Agreed. I set one up whenever I go out of town to keep an eye on my tank and make sure the fish are still swimming and my power heads are still working. Gives me peace of mind!!!
