We are setting up a 65 gallon reef ready tank that will be plumbed to our sump on our display tank and will make water changes much easier. We also want to keep some frags in this tank as well. Just wanting to know what you guys would recommend for lighting this tank. I don't really want to spend over $400 so let me know what you would do if you were buying a light for this tank. Ok go!

What were the dimensions of the tank? Were you set on a certain type of lighting? You can certainly a really nice T5 fixture for under your budget, and even some LED lights like the Kessil A350W that may work (depending on the size of the tank). If you provide some more information, I'm sure you'll get some additional suggestions. I hope this helps.

Chris

Thanks Chris. The tank is 36" X 18" X 24". I have AI Sol's on our main display and love them but not sure I need something that crazy over a tank in the basement haha.

Go with one of the cheaper ebay led lights, great for a frag tank. Or there is always mh, and u can get great deals on mh these days with all the leds out now
