Good morning,

I am planning to set up a reef tank Waterbox 100.3
70gl display and 30 sump.
All equipments, lighting, sand rocks etc will be thru Bulk Reef Supply.
Ive been in reefkeeping 15 years ago...
Now, being a newbie again... anybodybwho can assist me in setting all these and assist with proper cycling...
Willing to pay for a minimal fee if okay...Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley Area...

Thank you so much...

Look into something like Instant Ocean BIO-Spira to insta-cycle your tank. It's a bit more expensive than the traditional bacteria, ghost feeding (etc.) methods - but there's something nice about skipping through the whole tedious cycling process.

Thank you so much. I am planning to use Dr. Tim's fishless cycle solution...

Thank you...r

Planning to cycle soon. I read Dr. Tim Ine and Only recipe specifically number 11... nitrifying bacteria needs minerals and so RODI water is not good...
Does it mean tap water id good... just pour Dr. Tim First Defense bottle to remove chlorine and chloramine... then start the fishlesd cycle by Dr. Tim using One and Only and ammonia.
Thank you...

I would recommend finding a reputable source for some actual live rock. I have started two systems with the nitrifying bacteria and I don't know how much it really does from what I observed. With established live rock you are starting so much further ahead then if you went the nitrifying bacteria route. I know its scary thinking about hitchhikers in terms of live rock, but that is why I mention a reputable source.

Thank you so much...
Nice man, cook that rock until 0 for your ammonia tests. You can still go the live rock route of you want. Just need a seed rock from an established tank. Anyway, glad you are getting back into reefing! I have the same tank as you so let me know if you have any questions

Ammonia has been zero twice and after dosing more ammonia... Ive also dose more Nitrifying Bacteria... Fritz, Brightwell and Dr Tim... Nitrate is 2 ...

Still waiting... my tank is not here yet from Waterbox...

Iean Nitrite is 2 and Nitrate around 50. Wont be doing water changed until I transfer everything to the tank. I also placed a bag of carib sea sand in that bin...

Nice...
Still waiting... Waterbox said around March 18...excited to set up my new 110.4

All rocks are on a large bin since Feb 8...seems like it is cycled already...
