Setting up an Refuge on IM custom caddy

Hello,

I was thing about getting the custom caddy to hold sponges, and other things. I saw that you could use one of the sections as a refuge. How good does it work out, or should used in external refuge? Right now I have the IM 40 Nova all-in. I need to make sure that I have good working refuge since a few of fish plans are fish that required large amount of pods.

What is the size of the sump/refugium?

the sump in back of the tank is not big at all. The total space in the back sump is about ~ 10gal. That is why i wanted to know if anyone has used the CustomCaddy with their tank. I was thinking about using external sump just for the refuge.

I would say you would need to use an external refugium.
