Setting up frag tank with only marinepure block

Im planning on setting up a frag tank. Can i just use the marinepure block as my only source of biological filtration? No live rock.

I'm going to go ahead and say yes as long as you have enough of it to compensate for the rock. Enough water changes and maybe a skimmer to keep nitrate low or use some chemipure or purigen for the chemical filteration and your set. There is a video from bulk reef supply on YouTube that tests the various methods of biological filteration.
