Hi

I am going to be making a 40 gallon reef tank I have the tank.
I will be drilling holes in the glass for my overflow and my return (dont worry the tank was mega cheap)
Risky i know but i am trying to make it more personel rather than just going out and buying everything made to measure etc....

Now i am not sure what a suitable size of hole is for my overflow and my return

Id say at least 1" pvc. So 1" plus the added 1/4 inch for the pipe its self. This is the size I use atleast.
