So i took a quick look at the light i currently have and its a 2 bulb 54 watt t5 ho fixture, so i will be using that for the time being considering i only have to purchase bulbs for it.

You won't need it for the first couple of weeks for cycling anyways. Bulbs are expensive for those, so most go with LED fixture these days as it saves you money in the long run.

I will probably buy a led fixture as well, and run both. That way there i should be able to do any type of coral.

i think you are on the right path and there are many good LED lights for a decent price, do a bit of research and find the light that will work with your tank dimensions and livestock (coral) that you may add. this is one place i would not go cheap in my opinion

Agreed. I bought a cheap Mars Aqua LED light bar for $50 and my frogspawn seems to love it, but my hammer not so much. I will be upgrading to a pair of AI Prime HDs in the next few weeks.

Has anyone used this dry rock from the vendor? The pricing seems decent but they only have 3 reviews that i can find
