Bleached BRS jumbo pukani for 1week Set rock and water in tank and added biospira Oct19
Placed blood orange clown from other tank in Oct 21st

Fish from local fish stores-
dart fish and yellow/purple wrasse 26th
Second dart fish 27th
3&4th dart fish 29th

Removed adult blood orange clown too aggressive
10%water change nov.4th

(Live aquaria orders) Haprtail blenny, goby, blue fin flasher wrasse, juvenile Lightning maroon clown goby, CUC Nov.6th

This many fish this fast is heavily advised against but this is the strength of bio spira/ 5 day fish cycle and more then enough surface area for growing beneficial bacteria. In this case pukani in the DT and marine pure in the sump
The one fish that has experience stress from water parameter fluctuations was the blood orange clown fish he stayed in one spot for a day and barely ate after the one day the clown fish returned to eating and swimming confidently threw the new tank as the fighter he is

Update on nov 9th-
Since my original amonia spike in week 1 only my nitrate levels are fluctuating

haha no no I’m just messing around the fire fish have started to swim far past there hideout out more and more each day since I removed the bigger clown. I am Sooo pumped to have a friendly community tank! I’m monitoring ph and ammonia around the clock. nitrate once a day. everything has been stable the last 2weeks. The bacteria on the bio media from my old tank plus the bio spira and the clown fish cycle. I’d say we’re rocking and rolling here. Only wet life that wasn’t quarantined was the snails so fingers crossed there. But diatoms came and went, fish are all eating. Question on my mind is am I going to make it till Black Friday without a protein skimmer and is adding a RBTA just plain dumb with all the 3 inch fish swimming around?

Official one month update
Second wave of diatoms in full effect this time
All the fish are happy and are refining all they’re newly established relations. EXCEPT ONE!

I did however have a blue fin wrasse from live aquaria that had some bacteria or fungi eating at the flesh and scales of the back half of the fish. this really sucked guys, I’ve never seen anything like it and it was painful to watch. I haven’t seen a dead or sick fish in years but live aquaria did make it right and I did my best to medicate the poor soul. ultimately I was to late with noticing the severity of the illness. Signs of infection came and left in a mater of 36-48 hours. Up until the last 12 hours the fish was still eating normally. Swimming behavior was a bit skittish for the time I had him I though it was stress from traveling now I don’t know. He survived with me 5 days and was a very beautiful fish.

Since then a week has passed and I have preventativly medicated my display tank and I’m looking to finish stocking this 60g cube I’m looking to add some character to the tank maybe some sand sitters or something that will perch on the rock all day. Can anyone recommend some fun to watch critters for my DT

I love cubes and have a 60 as well. Looks great. Which brand tank do you have as well as stand?

That’s awesome. I’d love to see your cube. The one i got is a cadlight tank and stand I got it off Craigslist and I couldn’t be happier this is actually the biggest tank I’ve owned. I’ve done 29g and 6g cubes so I’m very excited

I got a tank update that I never thought I’d be doing but i have decided to QT all my fish to make sure that everyone is not carrying ich marine velvet or stomach parasites. I suspect white stringy poop from one fish. I’ve done all the research I can from hublefish and so far all my fish are eating still 5 days into QT

Dt looks quite cloudy? So you took all of your current fish out of the dt and moved to qt to treat them? Had they shown signs other than white poop? I know it's for discus but still a good read. https://discus.co/blog/diseases/white-feces/.

Hopefully, you add all your fish back to the dt after a successful qt trip!

DT picture was taken right after placing the rock back in the DT I had to take it out completely to catch all my fish. I’m treating with copper then prazi and maybe metro if the internal parasites persist. Thank you for wishing me good luck. So far I’m 5 days of raising copper and all the fish are still showing signs of good health

Just make sure your nutrients stays up. With no fish it’s tough to keep NO3 and PO4 above 0. Corals will starve at 0
