Setting up new tank

Setting up a 75gal and have about 70lbs of dry rock wondering if I should cure it first or put it in the tank and let it help cycle the tank
 
actually a lot of good can happen fast in a reef tank, check the nano in 90 threads lol

however, curing rock is a good idea. there tends to be built up organics and phosphates locked in the rock that needs to be dealt with. you can dump in a bottled bacteria like MB7 to speed up the process and get yourself a good bacteria started.
 
Yea I was thinking of getting some rock from a buddy's tank to help seed it . He's never had any pest or problems in his tank so I could be ok
