Setting up new tank

Hey guys got my waterbox 90.3 set up. I have the rock but sand wont be here til next week. Id like to get the rock and water in there now, but those that have done this, is it hard getting the sand even in the tank after rock and water is in? worried about how id get the sand under the caves etc. Thanks

You waited this far, another week isn't that far away. I would wait for the sand IMO

What kind of sand is coming? live or dry? You'll probably want to rinse the sand really well before putting it in the tank unless its the ocean direct live sand that has bacteria in it.

it might be kind of difficult especially with a 90 gallon. The water will definitely be pretty cloudy for a while. If you want it just might be easier.

Ive got a 20 gallon cube stocked ready for transfer with live rock. really cluttering the living room and wifes not happy lol Problem is its going to take me daysss to get 90 gallons out of my rodi filter lol. its arag alive fiji pink live sand.

You want to rinse that sand until it is clear before using it. Putting in sand after the water will make a mess of things (i've been there) . You might have to make it up to your wife for the mess. backrub , massages , flowers , etc

What kind of RODI unit do you have? I upgraded my BRS RODI to the double membrane water saver and it doubled my RODI output and reduced waste water by half.
