I’m setting up a 10g qt tank for some coral I plan on getting in the near future, I’m trying to figure out how to light it. The tank is sitting RIGHT INFRONT it a window in my fish room, the blinds stay closed but still let in a good amount of natural light, good enough to grow java fern and guppy grass in my freshwater tanks next to it. Would I be able to get away with the natural sunlight + a single 12-18 inch t5 or t8 bulb? Would want to QT for only 2-3 weeks to make sure there aren’t any pests or disease then add to my DT. I have 2 18” current USA orbit ic leds on my DT. You think this amount of light in the QT tank would be sufficient for the corals for the short amount of time and the change to my DT will be an issue or no? I plan on getting mainly softies and LPS no SPS for now. Thanks guys!!

LPS and Softies should be fine for 2 weeks with natural sunlight. They will not be as colorful as under artificial light. They might show signs of stress depending on what sort of light they were under when they were grown.
