Setting up quarantine tank for pricey fish!

I have a 37 gallon that I'm planning to set up for some fishes ill be getting soon. How exactly will I go on with quarantining? What type of medication should I add? How much? How long? Please let me know thank you
I'm trying to avoid what happened last time to my fishes: got velvet and died 2weeks into treatment

Chocolate tang
Powder blue tang
Sohal tang
Purple tang
Yellow tang

Blue tang

No I have multiple tanks lying around and will be quarantining them in groups
