hi guys.
My display is 500 liters, the samp is 200 liters.
I bought a return pump rd3 9000, do I understand correctly that it should work 50% on my volume?

Set it up and adjust it to whatever flow you wish to have through your filtration (your sump!) :) Not sure what you mean by 50% of your volume?

I aim for 8-10x my tank volume every hour (500 l tank - so 8-10,000 l/hr) but thats much more than most people would aim for. It's recommended for the Triton Method.

Adjust your pump to 3-4 times turnover (1500-2000 l/hr) and adjust as required.

should my pump be running at 100%?

Your pump should be running at whichever % that gives you your desired tank turnover! :) No one can tell you whether it is 10% or 100% - that's up to you to measure..

Your RD 9000 has a theoretical flow off 4000-9000 l/h depending on the setting. By reading that, under optimal conditions you should get 4000 at the lowest setting and 9000 at the highest setting.

If you can attach a hose to your drain pipe, you can run for a known period of time (lets say 30 seconds) into a bucket of known capacity (lets say 20 L).

If in 30 seconds you fill the bucket with 20 L = 1 minute = 40 L = 60 minutes = 2,400 L.

You get it? :) Works with any flow rate / any capacity you want. The math is the same.

I was told that siporax may not start due to the strong flow of water in the sump. My pump is running at maximum. So I started thinking about setting up the pump.

I have never used Siporax- so that you will need to ask someone else about i'm sorry! Might be useful to have a look through this post!

I bought it, but I don't understand how fast it should pump the volume. Someone says that it will be enough for me to use it at 40% of its power, someone says it needs to be unscrewed to maximum power.
