It makes sense to me, but the bottom part seems to be a straight on off schedule. What part of it needs clarification for you?
EDIT, looks like the bottom put the peak in for all times instead of ramping up and down. Also, 21:00 on the top chart should be all zeros.

The top chart is a reasonable place to start. From there I would consider increasing all channels 5-10% a week until you get the royal blue in channel 3 to 60% (the peak of the mixed reef table). Watch corals along the way. If they can take that fine, maybe try going up to the 80% of the SPS chart.
Adam at Battlecorals and Therman use their at 100% on all channels, but they are up way high. They get as good of results as anybody with these.
Standard Disclaimer: do not try too much to be like a vendor since they have different goals... but you can learn a few things from them.

Keep in mind the depth of your tank. I am also pushing light through an egg crate top.

Because of the top I am 5% over this.
I also found this useful.
The chart works as follows. You take the depth of your tank from top to bottom, and your coral types, and look for it in this chart. The maximum percentages shown are general guidelines and apply to channels 3,4,5, and 6. Channel 4 is the white LEDs- so that channel’s output varies greatly from person to person. In general, you want to add about 10% power for every additional 6% of tank depth to increase PAR at the bottom of the tank.
We recommend finding a color ratio YOU like- instead of chasing an arbitrary Kelvin rating. In general, it is simpler to adjust the ratio of channel 4: 3, 5, and 6 to achieve your desired color output. The below guidelines assume channels 3-6 are set equally. So if you choose to run channel 4 lower- you can increase the power of channels 3, 5, and 6 by 5% for every 10% reduction of channel 4.
Once I saw this it all started to make sense.
You set channels 3,5 and 6 to these levels and 1,2 and 4 to get the look you want
At 1pm my light runs 70,70,75,30,75,75. Standard 75 gallon tank
this is where you end up. Not where you start. I started in the 40%s
I did bleach a few things but they came back.

But we don't have an intensity setting. So you keep the ratios between the channels and directly set the intensity by each channel. Since this is for a different brand of light you go back to the depths chart I listed above and decide what level you want to run and that becomes what you consider to be 100% in comparison to the AB+ settings.
So if you ran channels 6, 3, 5 at 80% say (80 becomes 100%)
You would run 4, 2, 1 at 24% of that so 19% (24% of 80)
I hope that made sense.

Why are you running the Red and Green channels so high, and are you getting more of a 10k look or more yellow.I have a Photon V2

I am trying to grow macro algae in my tank.
When I correct the color temp on my dslr I seem to be at something like 9500 through the middle of the day. I run my light about 13 hours and it goes from dim blue to 9500 and them back.

How does it work with the Macro Algae, as I have the Photon 32 V2+ on my fuge with rock only and 1 SPS coral, and some soft corals running my 3,5,and 6 channels at 90%, and channel 4 at 20% from 12pm to 2 pm and 24% from 3 pm to 6 pm, and finally the channels 1, and 2 between 1% from 12 pm to 2 pm and 8% from 3pm to 6 pm. For the money, these lights are the best on the market right now, and they are easy to program and are a good looking light if you hang them above your display tank

I dont know yet. It has only been a few months. I have no algae in my tank. So I added 2 kinds of macros. One got consumed and disappeared and the other is slowly growing but not doing what I had hoped.

Maybe bring the Red and White channels up a little, as the Red channel is supposedly good for algae growth.

Try this, just download an excel spreadsheet and pop in the value for your blue channel.
I have the 48"over my 75 gallon with plexi top.
My blue is 95% and par is about 240 @ 4" or 5" down.

I am bumping the thread bc it is one of the more scientific and informative threads o this subject. wish so badly there was a master dimmer that could ramp or dim all channels together while keepung the relative % the same.
my question is when applying the ab+ model and using other lamps as a comparator how do the different lamp wattages and brands come into play. for instance some of our bulbs are cree some are not, some are 5w some are not. have the above calculations taken this differences into account? i am about to go into tinker mode bc i am not happy right now. and giving it one last shot before i switch to something more pnp.

You don’t need to get too technical. Match your blues/violets to the same intensity. Make those higher. Turn the white/red/greens up to taste. Use a par meter. To aim for 350-400 par around where your favorite sps will be for the max photoperiod. Provide 4-6 hours at that intensity per day.
