Recently we moved into our new home back in August 1st. My current clown breeding system is in the garage. Now is getting cold.
The temp of the water is around 82-83 degrees. I've thinking about purchasing a heater of some sort to keep the garage warm through the winter. Is a 2-car garage! Any advice what should I buy, that won't break my pocket?

if the garage is attached to house then hang a heavy cloth and separate the garage so u can leave the door open and heat only a little bit of it where the tanks are , you could also insulate the garage door. if its not attached i dunno, short of running heat or wrapping tanks in something to keep heat it in i would be scared to run 1 or two heaters, as they would run non stop cause its gonna get real cold. if you have to keep them out there then get a controller just in case a heater decides to run away on you ,it. will shut it down

i ran into the same problem when i had by breeding setup in my garage, in the winter the heater couldnt keep it hot enough and in the summer it would get way too hot.. thus the reason i have moved it into the house.. a much more consistant temp now..

I plan on a window unit to keep it cool a decent window into is always fair priced some easy insulating. For the heat hopefully you have an attached garage and hang up a blanket or even build a false wall and make kind of a fish room area. Also there's always decent space heaters gas or electric. You can do a 55 breeder setup to do multiple pairs and save space.

I've decided to move the system into the dinning room. Since its a 4 chamber system and keeping my brookstock to 4 pairs. I've decided to build a stand and canopy to give it a nice look since it will be in our dining room. That way I don't have to worry about the cold or heat.

Yea a non insulated garage can get very expensive too heat or cool, depending on your climate where you live.
Best would be to insulate the garage. Better yet build a small room around the tanks and insulate that.. Less area to heat aand cool...
