Setting up a 55 gallon reef tank with a 20 gallon sump. I'm going to drill the back of the 55 gallon tank and hook it up to the 20 gallon high tank. Can someone help with what kind of overflow and bulkhead I need. What other equipments I should consider. Thank you in advance to all.

You might consider a Reef Savvy, Ghost Overflow unit. Both are great quality and have the instructions necessary to make a silent drain system. Tunze also makes a unit for a drilled tank as well. I noticed that Coral Vue offers a drain and return combination as well. Synergy Reef Systems makes a great one as well.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about synergy ghost over flow with bean animal plumbing. It's a little pricey but I hear absolutely nothing but good things. There are tons of different ways to do it, jus depends on your budget.
Make sure your return pump is efficient enough as well. Roughly 10x your tank volume, make sure to add in height loss as well.

I just looked into the synergy ghost. It's $200. That's out of my budget
