Setup plumbing for Refugium to a 28 nano cube

I am setting up a 28 gallon JBJ Nano Cube and would like to use a refugium. What is the best way to setup plumping for a refugium? I. Need pump and pipe size as well. My tank will set about 4 to 5 feet above the refugium.
Any help or reference to existing sources would be great.

Google head pressure for reefs and you should find a relativy easy calculator to figure out pump size.I do know that for a refugium you want a nice calm flow so that is something to consider.
