I have a 29 gallon tank where I am raising approximately 15 yellow blaze cichlid fry, they are around 4 months old now. This evening, I noticed a white cloudy film clinging to almost every single one of the fishes eyes. I was gone most of the day and only just now noticed. They are extremely lethargic, still interested in food, but are mostly laying on the bottom of the tank. They were completely fine yesterday, no signs of any white spots or lethargy. About 6 months ago, I was housing a juvenile frontosa, a blue ram cichlid, and a gold ram cichlid in the same tank, and the exact same thing happened. Unfortunately, last time the white spots spread extremely quickly, and after 24 hours my fish were completely covered in them and they all died. After they died, I treated the tank with an ich treatment for a total of 10 days, completely changed the water, changed the filter, and changed the sand. I let the tank run for about a month before putting the fry in. Is is possible for ich to spread and kill fish that quickly, or is it possibly that I am dealing with something else completely?? Unfortunately it is Sunday and all of the stores in the area are closed, and I cannot get any sort treatment. Should I perform a water change? I have read before that sometimes ich will go away on its own, but I am extremely reluctant to sit back and wait since it spread so quickly last time and was fatal for all of my fish.

she may know.
