Well I am new to this forum not to the world of reefkeeping. So this weekend me, the little lady, and son flew down to California to attend MAX, it was my 12 year olds first expo and he was excited for it, being that we just set up his new biocube. Before I went down I got ahold of Mike to see where his shop was so I could stop by to check it out, because of all the corals I see he post for sale I wanted to see them up close and personal. I am one of those people that does not like to order online at all I like to see things in person them go from there. He got me the address and that was that, mind you this was the first contact I have ever had with him . So Saturday rolled around and we went to MAX first then headed over to see Mike's shop we got there and as you walk in there are 2 Great display tanks with some amazing center pieces in them so I was like this is a great sign, we walked around and looked at everything for sale and I was blown away by some of the pieces he had I think they look better in person. Mike came over and asked if we needed anything then I introduced myself to him he remembered me from my PM and we just started bsing. My son asked 10000000 million questions and got answers for all of them. We picked out some wonderful things, even though I wish my pocket book would have allowed me to get way more on this trip I had to be smart. After we left my son asked me "Dad i didnt know you had a friend that owned a shop down here and how long have you known him?" I told him that this was the first time I met Mike and that I had just talked to him a couple of days before we got there. So this is what I am getting at Mike is a great guy, down to earth and makes you feel like a friend not a client I like that and someone that will talk it up with a 12 year gets an extra star. We didnt buy much but he did earn my future business and he packed everything for us for our flight back and everything is open and happy. just wanted to say Thanks and give props to Mike!!! Also just to point out the pics he has of somethings are better in person!!!
