Sexy Corals Orange Passion Progress thread

Yikes, I forgot to update. I've been super busy lately with a frag swap this past weekend. I will take an updated if of my OP tonight.

Since you are being lazy. Here is my update pic. I am killing it with light at about 700 par. And the polyps are turning bright orange

Super hardy piece, been a slow grower though. LOVES low nutrients, and high light. When it gets mad, polyps turn brown. I have it in my frag tank, currently waiting to be moved to my new display. I have it under 28-3w Phillips leds and 4-24w t5s, and it loves the high light! Colors are a little pale, if I could raise the nutrients just a tad, it would get deeper/darker colors which makes the orange contrast a lot better and makes it looks darker orange.

5-13-14 update

I plan on mounting it to its permanent home probably tomorrow.

Looking good

I think I need to move mine down a little maybe towards 500 par. The orange has definitely shown up in the polyps but the coralites are turning neon blue but the body is paling out a little

Did u see mine? I have it in semi high light, and it looks great. I haven't used a par meter, but I imagine it's gotta be close to 500.

Yes. Your colors are looking great I moved mine down last night. I just don't want to lose the orange polyps

Hahaha thanks. Ya I haven't seen an OP as big or as colored up as mine. I've had this frag for almost 2 years. Unfortunately battling AEFW has stunted her growth. Now that that whole ordeal is over, she's really starting to take off.

Great color you have there SchnitzelReef. I've seen a few and they weren't that great looking but it seems you've been able to pull the orange polyps out of it. I've been watching your tank build on the other forum and it's very impressive. Maybe down the line we could set up a trade for some acro's if your up for it?.

My little RR OP. It may be small but I love it so much. Awesome color and super stoked to see it grow out. has bee growing pretty fast too, encrusted quick and shot up another branch in the back.
