A few weeks ago two of my larger zoa colonies closed up and have not been opening back up. I have been testing my water and nothing looks out of the ordinary.... although phosphates were a little high.

I just came across a thread about a sexy shrimp eating zoas and started paying attention to the sexy shrimp in my tank. He spends all his time on top of my corals mostly zoas... I guess I am wondering how common this is?

I don't really know what else could be causing this. I don't see any pests on the zoas. I dipped them when i first got them and then again last week. This time i did the fresh water dip with lugos iodine and some rx. They don't really seem to be coming back.

Sexy shrimp have been known to become opportunistic eaters of zoanthids.
