I would recommend 1 no more than 2 depending on what size you get .
The coral banded shrimp may cause trouble. Even the Damsel probably will see them as food. Now that I think about it 0. Especially if you ever feed the damsel any meaty foods. Small sexy shrimp are smaller then PE Mysis for instance.
I have either 6 or 7 in a 10 gallon tank with nothing larger then them. I started with 11, one died for sure, a couple vanished and one jumped. It's been many months since I've lost one. I've kept them in the groups before but this is the largest group I've had. While the tank certainly could support more and you'd think they have enough space they seem comfortable with this amount in a standard 10 gallon.
