Ok guys. Mike has requested we lock up this thread to keep the forum fresh, but feel free to start feedback threads and/or threads on the general forums for posting up your pictures and sharing with the rest of us about the boxes you got!

a bit befuddled but i was asked to start a new thread after posting some photos of my recent arrivals from sexycorals in the on-going thread that got locked - i figured the SPS section was most aptly suited.

so anyway, i'm mostly interested in seeing how folks' frags are arriving from sexycorals. there is always so much commotion and hype but very rarely can i ever find photos were people post their acros purchased. if you do, it's always weeks or months down the line so i figured since folks were asking in the previous thread and i was interested as well in photos there must be others in my position. so i took some to share and hope others that are receiving their shipments will share as well.

here are photos from the acro box i requested. i got four in my $305 shipped box (tri color plana, pink tips, jamba juice, & strawberry millie) and two non acros which were freebies.

and to answer a question that got asked prior to the thread getting locked:
That is out of the box? I'm eager to see what other pictures are shared.
yes, this is prior dip/quarantine - out of the bag. and yes me too, i want to definitely get more input and feedback on other's acro shipments from sexycorals. hopefully this thread will help!

i will have a photo of them post-dip and in qt loaded up shortly but photobucket is stalling in a major way. thanks for your patience.

That's a shame, those corals looks terrible. Are any of these named acros or just wild cut pieces. Seems like there were many other people that bought these boxes, so hopefully others will chime in and had better results.

This is why wysiwyg is important in this hobby. Granted every vendor has a bad shipment now and again, but I doubt you would have looked at those frags and plunked down 315

:crossedlips:

Sorry bud.... Any chance it could be blamed on shipping delay? Did you contact him within the 2 hour window? I personally love that excuse. Heard it once myself.

300 shipped box.

Minus 50 to 70 for shipping

That leaves 250 to 230 for total six frags.

For some its a good deal for some its bad. I cant say.

I have two frags smaller than these coming for 300 total and will look just equally brown. SO I have paid more than this.

Also I will put pictures when my 1000 dollar box arrives. lol

Now thinking about it, I can say he should have gotten more. Its a surprise box. I wouldn't be surprise if I opened that box. I can get these corals for the same price. So nothing special here.

Thanks for answering my question, that's greatly appreciated! I've not ordered from SC, so I don't have pics to share. Following along.

you know surprisingly (bad luck lately with a couple couriers) this one arrived two minutes before the 10:30am guaranteed time of delivery - no delays in shipment to me from the courier. i did contact him immediately but that is a separate topic in of itself.

when is it scheduled for delivery? although it'd prove more accurate an assessment if they were photos of shipments that happened prior to this thread opening (i thought i was left last for shipment of these mother's day boxes ) that would be terrific if you'd post up photos of your acros when they arrive. thanks sir!

I think They need to color up first. You are still lucky. I paid $200 for a polyp and received one that is less than $20 from a vendor. I learned now to see WYSIWYG pics from all sellers.

One RR piece makes up for it. Now I will say I would be surprised and quite happy if I got this box. Nicely done Mike.

That's a sweet box if you were to ask me for that price, worth well beyond what you paid. Also give them time to color up as well and you will be more then surprised, especially the RR. Keep us posted on the sexiness though!! Makes me bummed I missed out on that round of boxes. Good work mike!

How do they look now that they are in the tank under tank lighting ?

All this heat from a bunch of pics taken of sps out of water? And those don't look like fresh cuts, look at the plugs and glue. They have algae growing on it. They have been cut and healing for a bit.

So anybody have some pictures of their boxes, or what? I think the op was looking for what other people experienced as well. Good, or bad. Was the op the only one who got a surprise box, or the only one with a camera?

coming from Mikes #1 cheerleader, come on bro

Because no other vendor never had corals get stressed and come on looking bad. Do you know what the chalice is? And the price on it?

Nope
But you guys still jump on the bash wagon

Lol
I'm very curious too. Seeing pictures of coral out of water is always a huge difference compared to pics in water under any kind of lighting

But the definitely took a hit in shipping I can't comment on total value of the box until I know what the chalice was

Yeah definitely. Hard to say what it is. IMO, all corals look like junk out of the water. I am not saying those corals look to be in good shape but we shall see.

I hope you were able to see my sarcasm before :)

Is this AEFW confirmed. Because I would like to cancel my box if this is even true. This is bad.
