Alrighty then! I just got my stand and I have begun the planning stages. My tank is bare. 2 holes and no overflow.
My first plan is where I want to even put the tank which will be up to my woman.
2nd plan is the overflow. Do I want a coast to coast or 2 corners? I can't find someone anywhere near who will drill a 3rd hole so a bean animal is not an option :/
I have 400w of metal halide to use that is 6500k. So I will be adding some actinic supplements because it is very yellow.
The return pump will be at least 900 gph and plumbed to a Carlson surge device if the area permits. Otherwise it's a simple wave maker.
This tank will be mainly sps as the halide is a beast.
I'm going to do as many small fish as I can humanely fit into the tank and filtration will be a DIY skimmer with the possibility if some reactors if I feel necessary. ATO will be a must and I will probably dose kalk manually to prevent pickling
Right now I have the light, the tank, the return pump, and time.
The overflow will be the only part holding me back form starting this ASAP so I better get a move on!
