Pics? I do like it a lot better than just led. I'm running 2 ati coral plus.

I literally just posted my first pictures on my build thread in 2+ years. It was so wild going back in time and looking through my build. I also really like the look of this as well. I liekd my LED's until I dint... Then I added the T5's and loved them! So I wasn't in a hurry to add my LED's back in... I did it tonight so tomorrow will be the first time I see the whole stack working together.

I am running a high PAR side and a lower Par Side on my tank. So I did (2) 24" T5's + (2) 48" T5's that run the full length. I then run a AI 52 and 26 on the bright side and a AI 52 on the lower light side. I'm excited to see the whole combo tomorrow.

Sounds intense. I added the t5 back and the shadows are no longer sharp and crisp more like a gradual transition.

So is today the first day of running both the LED's and the T5's? Today was the first day of my combo pack and wow, my tank is running hot! I have been listening to the fans blowing all day... Might have to figure out a solution for that as I have an entirely closed Canopy. Clearly, you won't have to deal with that so I am a bit jealous!

Do you have fans that you can add to the back of the canopy. Ya a closed area will heat up.

Yup I already have fans installed on one end that blow the hot air down and out... I might have to vent that out the side tough as I cant access the back as that is against a wall behind my built-in. I will most likely have to place a couple of computer fans in the corners and blow the hot air into the room.

I am about to do my par reading though so I am excited to see how much light we are putting out now.

Not a problem and glad you could put the gyres to use. Much better to be in your tank instead of a box collecting dust. Hopefully you get tons of life out of them. They are first gen gyre 3ks, so are a bit old, but cleaned monthly and only cleaned with citric acid mix. I still have 2 of them going in my sump that were bought at same time lol.

Hot air rises so reverse the fan for better efficiency. Just a thought.

Elsa made a mess of my coral. Se removed 3 zoas and a monti cap b3cause a bem shifted. Nem removed and placed back with other nems. Hope it stays otherwise thr bta will end up at a lfs

Flow has been given me fits. In finally figured it out. I pointed on one side slightly down. This prevent the crashing of the two gyres. They aren't quiet synced.
