Sfin's Dream.

Sorry man, don't use rock in qt, will eat copper too fast, hard to keep level at treatment level .
will defer to @Crabby48 @SaltyT @Lost in the Sauce on wrasses
If you need anything just call...:(;)
So long as you are prepared to test and adjust levels daily, as well as be willing to burn the pieces of rock you're going to use, I have no problem throwing a few pieces of rock in a qt to set it up quickly. When treating velvet, that is the name of the game. Get them treated quickly, massive aeration of the water.

Going to assume you'll be using copper here? Some wrasse are sensitive to it but I still treat them.. Can we get a quick fish list run down?

Oh man sorry to hear this. When I've used copper on my wrasses I always put a couple pieces of rock and a container of sand in the QT for them. As long as you have a Hanna checker and monitor daily you're good with some rock. I recommend either copper power or copper safe for wrasses maintain your level between 2.25 - 2.50ppm. Copper takes a day or two to start working so I wouldn't ramp it.

You can also get a 10 lb bag of silica sand from Amazon delivered next day. That is enough to fill two 10 inch by 7-in containers, 3 in deep.
lol waaay better then having a 25lbs deadweight laying about...

Leapord wrasse
Falco hawk
Black spot foxface
2 clown
Matted filefish
My stocking was complete

I added a heater to mixing barrel this morning forgot to check salinity. Have another 30gal that I can mix up if needed.
Tank should be in hand this evening. May have to wait till tomorrow evening to pull fish. We are in the middle of busy season and I'm swamped at work

If you are positive it's is velvet, tomorrow could be too long my dude Are any of the other fish breathing rapidly?

Only the file fish so far. To me it looks like powdered sugar. To heather it looks like ich. Do I pull just the file or all?

Congrats. That looks like a Thick cryptocaryon infestation. Not great overall but WAYY better than a Velvet outbreak.

Disclaimer: I have no idea how file fish "normally" do, in QT. I've gotten one through my whole protocol, but that could just as easily be luck.

I'd get at Least, the file fish out. How is the breathing? At that level of infestation, I would likely give it a shorter than normal FW dip to help relieve, Some, and get it in the treatment tank with meds.
