Sfin's Dream.

A couple of days ago I fragged two leathers and made five frags. I have let them sit in the sand and now the sand has attached to the base. This morning my son and I glued them to rocks. Crossed fingers this works
Exciting! When I frag soft corals I stick a toothpick through the base then use a rubber band to gently hold them to a rock. Never tried just letting them grab on

I just use a rubber band, put the cut face down, I can usually take the band off in a couple of days.

I tried with a colt coral i had, that was one slimy ... had to use a toothpick sadly

Kenya leather has no problem fragging itself. I’ve got multiple pieces attached to snail shells right now and just pulled some off a fossil that I had in the tank. Left to its own devices that stuff will spread!
The keyna trees I have fragged have done the same thing. That's where I got the idea to let it sit in the sand for a few days and the bases could be glued. I figured it would work with my finger leathers.
I'll know in a couple of days.

My sea hare is dead. It was impaled by a shell. It was fine the other day. Only thing I can think of is rock shifted. But I have no idea how that would have happened.
It smelled awful

Sorry buddy. That sucks. Sending hugs.

Just so you know - you have to be a bit careful with those - especially If it was 'smelling' - perhaps do the carbon tonight?
It was smelling worse than a dead snail. I always run carbon so no worries there. I have a ton of leathers.

Today 10 gallon water change and cleaned the canister. All new carbon everything looks good.

*Edit* The canister is about 3-4 gallon. I made up the difference for another 5gal water change.
Grand total of 15 gal.
