I was going through my sw supplies and I realized I had a mj 1200 not being used. It was powering a skimmer.
I realized it would pump water from a 5g bucket to the tank. Now did I have the right hose. I did no longer do I have to lift a bucket and pour into the tank. No more water on the floor.

My female lightning maroon has viewed my hand as a threat. If I'm not feeding the tank or have treats for her she goes on the offensive. Shes a monster.

I love urchins! Mine keeps the algae mowed off the return spouts and cleans the back glass. I don't think the short spined do this, but in case they do, beware of loose frags! My pincushion urchin likes to carry them around and wear them as hats. Not so much now because everything is glued down, but it was a problem when I was light acclimating new frags on the sand bed.

Both the 55 and 90 got 10g water change. The 55 got a deep clean. It needed it. After the 10g water change I shiponed water throug a 5 micron sock and used the mj1200 to pump the water back in the tank. I think I put about 30 gallons through the sock.
