For those that are running t5 on a 12 inch height tank...how high up is your fixture? Mine is about 15 inch high off the rim of tank and I think it's not giving my sps enough light but I'm also afraid to fry or bleach them because it's such a shallow tank and the rockwork elevates some of them a tad lighter to the light...

Lagoon metal halide led combo zoa dominated

Nice sump layout. Similar tank size to mine. How much water will end up in your sump? I used a 20 high in mind to increase water volume. In hindsight I should have gone with a normal 20 gallon. It's a pain to change the zeo rocks on my reactor. I run into clearance issues taking it out.

Just using a regular 10 gal, so about 7 gal total while running. I'll only drop a couple gallons into sump when pump kicks off as drains & returns are pretty close to surface. I initially had 4 returns split in two by a SCWD, but have revised to only 2 with the SCWD on either end with a Jebao DCT6000. Mp10 on standby. Gonna use the middle sump chamber for different macros & maybe some light skimming if I need it. I like to run as natural as possible on the filtration side.

40x24x12 I recently built myself, roughly 3 months old. 6 bulb T5 fixture with ATI bulbs. 1.5in bulkhead with modified slip strainer making it DEAD silent with a Jebao WP-25 wave pump installed. Will be SPS dominated when I'm done filling her up.

Agreed, mine is about 16" above and o need to lower mine a bit. Going to bring it down an inch every two weeks. Maybe hold at 12" for a while to see what results I get.

80g DB RR about 1 month old, LOVE the dimensions of this tank. It was an upgrade from a 40b.
