UNS 60, what light do you guys think would work best on this tank. I’m planning on an sps dominant tank but not sure which light would have the best spread and par for 24x14x7 dimensions

I think it depends on how you plan on mounting the light. Do you want to hang it or use mountain arms?

Do you have a prefered budget, kinds of features, etc. in mind? There are a few lights I have in mind
I’m open to a lot of things. I would prefer something cheaper but can still grow things really well. I assume par output wouldn’t really be too much of an issue with how shallow the tank is. I’ve been looking into T5’s but I’m not sure

I've been hearing some good things about these. I appreciate the wide spectrum available and the low cost. I think 2 of these would work. They can be mounted on the tank but I would not recommend that on such a shallow tank. https://www.quantareef.com/shop

Noopsyche is another budget friendly option. Two of the k7 v3's would work. https://noopsycheusa.com/collections/noopsyche-lighting

If you would like one that mounts to the tank, I'd recommend two kessil a160we's because they have a very wide spread without having to move the light far from the corals.

In my experience, the best lights for SPS frags are ones that minimize shadowing, have a wide spectrum (I like to see wide blue/purple ish, green, and some 660nm red if possible), and avoids serious hotspot issues. I hypothesize the wide spectrum allows the corals to tolerate higher par levels without their growth slowing down.

I’ll have to look into those, I’ve never heard of them!
