So, I am wanting to get a shallow tank. Perferably no more then 100 gallons. I have a chance to get a 72 x 24 x 12" tall 90 gallon.. Anyone think this is too short? I would have different corals, like, clams, Anenome, zoas, LPS corals mainly. Fish wise, My girlfriend wants to get a tang, then I currently already have a pair of clownfish, blenny, goby, firefish, and a wrasse.

That's an awesome tank, but you have to worry about fish jumping... If you decide to go with it you will be limited to the type of fish you choose

the only thing i suggest is go barebottom or course substrate.. the powerheads seem to pick up fine sand and shoot it around the tank..this is on a 80gal deep blue frag tank

Oh yea deffinetly a sand storm and you have to have multiple small power heads expecially if your tank is longer then 4' I have 3 aqueon 750 I tried a korilia 1050 and thqt was a big nono

I would put a screen top on it.. I don't think I am going to get that tank, I don't wanna go bare bottom and I dont want to have a sand storm. So I'm going to get quotes on a custom 90 gallon, 48 x 24 x 18" tall.
