I'm just looking to see what everybody likes for their cleanup crew. I am a person who believes that variety is the spice of life, especially with this.
I will share the CuC for my 46G first!! It is not completed, so I will put my final plans in parentheses.
- 2 Trochus Snails (4 eventually)
- (2 Astrea Snails)
- 2 Turban Snails
- 1 Emerald Crab
- 2 Nassarius Snails
- 4 Cerith Snails (8)
- 1 Scarlet Hermit
- 1 Banded Serpent Starfish
- 2 Blue Leg Hermits
- (3 Zebra Hermits)

I got nassarius, dwarf ceriths, Florida ceriths and nerites. The dwarf ceriths are work horses. The nasa are fast and fun to watch. The Florida ceriths are pretty boring and the nerites suck and just hang out in the top corners of the tank.

Thanks for sharing. I just got my ceriths tonight and they all went straight for the top of the tank and are sitting in the air. Weird lol. I will look for dwarf ceriths next time I go to the store. My nass snails were purchased yesterday with my clown pair so I haven't gotten to see them in action yet lol

My dwarf ceriths go where there's algae. If it happens to be on the glass a bunch will go there. Most of they time they're on the rocks. They're fine out of the water for a while. Before I got my lid on my tank I'd come home and find a nerite just laying on the floor. I'd put some tank water in a Tupperware and drop him in there to see if he was still alive before I put him back in the tank. Most of the time they were.

I have a nano 10g right now i'm using an algae blenny and a scarlet hermit. I love my blennys :)

Next time I go to my LFS I plan on getting either a Starry or Algae Blenny. From what I've seen the starry just kinda sits and looks cool, the algae one is much more active. Maybe it was because there was only 1 rock in the tank though

I actually caught this one myself at my local beach! Im assuming its an algae, I cant really tell. lol But yes they are generally pretty active, especially once i added a 50w heater, he is like out-of-this world happier and more active

Wow that's cool. The beach near me doesn't really have fish, much less any that could go in an aquarium lol. We just have some tiny things that are like saltwater minnows and the occasional stingray or dolphin. Gotta love Jersey

Gotta love florida! I caught 7 of em with a net underneath this little reef. They are so active and friendly they act like little puppies in my opinion.

That's so cool. One of my friends actually found a Ghost Crab at the beach today up here that followed her around and I was mad she didn't take it home lol

Mine consists of:
1 banded serpent star
1 coral banded shrimp
2? Nassarius Snails
1 turbo snail
1 scarlet legged hermit
1 peppermint shrimp
1 asterina star (came on a frag) that I named Gerald. Gerald recently disappeared out of the blue. :(

In my 120 I have:

7 Cerith Snails (Cerithium sp.)
6 Banded Trochus Snails (Trochus sp.)
2 Nassarius Snails (Nassarius sp.)
6 Super Tongan Nassarius Snails (Nassarius distortus)
1 Peppermint Shrimp (Lysmata wurdemanni)
3 Scarlet Reef Hermit Crabs (Paguristes cadenati)
3 Electric Blue Hermit Crabs (Calcinus elegans)
2 Emerald Crabs (Mithraculus sculptus)
2 Pom Pom Crabs (Lybia sp.)

I plan to add a couple of Skunk Cleaner Shrimp at some point as well.

Cool, thanks for sharing! Is there a difference between normal and Super Tongan Nassarius Snails?
Also have your pom pom crabs ever hurt any corals? I would love to get one but have heard they sting corals a lot when they walk around, although not too bad

For my first SW tank which is 75 gallons I got this CUC.

- 1 peppermint shrimp
- 1 emerald crab
- 24 tiny blue hermit crabs (quite a few are actually other varieties)
- 1 fighting conch
- 10 spiral top B&W snails
- 10 cerith snails
- 10 nassarius snails

These were the first creatures added to the tank after a ) week cycle. After the second week in the tank, the shrimp ripped the arms of the emerald crab and eat him. A clear sign is not feeding all these enough. He also picked off about half the hermit crabs before I stared putting more food in each day.

When I added the first coral at about 3 months, I got some good hitch hikers.
- micro bristle stars
- some small bristle worms about 1/4 to 1/2" long
- spirorbid worms
- pineapple sponges

I had a ton of pineapple sponges in my overflow. I popped some off and threw them into the sump and now they are down there. Pretty cool organisms even though they dont do anything visible

The regular Nassarius Snails are WAY smaller than the Super Tongan Snails, as in, half the size. :) I started with 6 regular Nassarius snails, but I had a rogue Peppermint Shrimp that hunted them, along with my poor Hammer Coral. Now I'm down to 1 Peppermint (and he is a model citizen), and I added the larger Super Tongan Nassarius Snails.

The Pom Pom Crabs haven't hurt any corals that I can tell. They aren't out much during the day. Their Anemones are so small I have a hard time believing it would be much of an issue at all.
