Share your good or bad experience with UV

Just curious everyone's experiences with all the UV sterilizers on the market.

I tried a sunsun cheapo on my old 220 and found out the housing wasnt UV rated and it ended up melting away.

I have an aqua uv 57 watter on my 300 after looking at reviews and such.

just hoping others can chime in as ive seen some inferior products like the sunsun or jebao wipe out a whole aquarium.

I have a 5 w atman for approximately 75 gallon tank. But still not connect it to my system. Because that using from bio pellet and so many of the people told that shouldn't using together cause of killing bacteria.
