I use two maxpect fx330 gyres opposite each other in a 4’ long tank and just use the random setting at 60%.
Once a week I’ll switch them to gyre mode where they will go forward and reverse randomly for just a couple of minutes to clean the blades out. It seems to help quite a bit with spreading the time frame out on the whole taking apart to deep clean them.

Two xf250’s in a 150 gallon. 100% both on random mode 24/7. Gyre mode tends to irritate euphyllia

I have one in Random and the other in Pulse at 70%.
